The car insurance was higher than the cost of the 4 day rental. The Allianz insurance I purchase through you was rejected. “It doesn’t cover us.” The staff was purposely deceitful about the prices by phrasing and purposeful omission. The car was booked for 5 days, but since they were not open until after my returning flight, it was returned a day early. The rental day was not reimbursed, “because I booked in advance and not there in person.” So I was forced to pay an extra day of rental and insurance. There were angry customers around me complaining of a similar experience. I now understand why. Needless to say, I will never rent a vehicle through them again.

Pros:

The car was nice and comfortable.

Cons:

Upon our arrival we had to wait about an hour to be seen. The only person working was handling two transactions, a return and a rental. The car was given dirty on the outside so the scratches were hard to see. We didn’t realize the windshield had a crack in it until a few days later. Luckily I took a video of the car so we didn’t end up being liable for the damage. When we took the car back they said not to worry about it because I had the video. Once there, they told us the temp tags were expired, mind you we picked up the car on 5/2 and it expired 5/3. Why would they give a car with temp tags about to expire the following day? Our car rental was for 20 days. They said they kept trying to call us, I asked to what number and they said your US number, why would they call our US number when we’re in a different county. There was no excuse because they had all of our local information. They said someone would be by the following day to take the new temp plates. We waiting all day, no one showed up and no one even bothered to call. We tried calling them all day even to their emergency number and no one responded. How reassuring is that if we did have some sort of vehicle emergency and we couldn’t reach someone on their emergency number. Not until 2 days later after we kept calling that someone actually picked up and said someone would be by within the hour. We asked for a credit for the inconvenience and all they said was that the card had already been charged and that they couldn’t issue a credit. I work for a University and I handle payments, partial refunds can be issued if they wanted to. It was the most annoying experience ever. Wasted time and days waiting around so that we wouldn’t be stopped by the cops for expired temp plates. When we went to return the car the day we were leaving at 7:00am apparently they didn’t open until 8:00am. How do you have a car rental company where you don’t have someone on site 24 hours a day? After waiting a while a person finally showed up. Then he weren’t the one to process the lift of the $3,000 hold it was another person who wouldn’t be there until about an hour later. Considering our flight was at 10:00am we couldn’t wait around.
